The Oak Bay Village Night Market will start accepting applications from new vendors on March 14
Market Regulations
The Market is a "make it, bake it, grow it" market which means items for sale must be made, baked or grown by the seller.
Items such as cards, clothing items, etc. must be hand printed or hands screened by the seller. Items outsourced for manufacture are not eligible for the market.
Due to the large number of jewellery applications, vendors in a jewellery space may only sell jewellery. Jewellery may not be included in the product mix of non-jewellery vendors.
We are no longer able to offer space for homemade food items. Food must be prepared in a commercial kitchen and/or have an approved vendor decal from Island Health to qualify.
We do not offer space for single markets - applications are for the full season only. No exceptions.
The following will not be accepted:
- Resellers, local distributors of major brands or multi-level marketing companies
- Raffles
- Political parties
- Services such as massage, tarot readings
- Books (with the exception of handmade/hand bound journals)
- 3D printed items
Application Information
Please fill out ALL fields in the form.
Applications may be submitted by mail to our P.O Box listed on the application form and on our contact page or delivered in person in the BIA drawer at the Oak Bay Municipal Hall. Please note the Municiupal Hall is a drop location for vendor convenience only. They cannot answer questions about the market.
If you are emailing your application please submit the forms as complete documents. Applications sent as individual pages/files will not be accepted.
Please do not send money until your acceptance has been confirmed.
Please do not call or email about the status of your application. All applicants will receive a response.
Due to an overwhelming amount of email, inquiries about space availability may not be answered. If you are interested in the market please review the policies and submit an application. Applications will close when the market is full and this will be indicated on our website and Facebook page. When a category is sold out it will be indicated on this page.
